Our Setting
Bossingham Pre-School is situated just a few miles South of Canterbury, in between the villages of Bossingham and Stelling Minnis. Stelling Minnis is an extensive area of common land in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our quiet, rural location means that the children have many opportunities to explore the countryside, spot wildlife and enjoy the fresh air.
The new building and outside space has been specifically designed for pre-school children. We have a large main hall which is divided into well resourced areas including a Role Play area, Nature Table, ICT area, Mark Making area and Creative area. Our Quiet Room has colourful, child-sized sofas and beanbags and is the perfect retreat for a quiet story or a nap. The toilets are low level, as are the basins and we have nappy changing facilities.
Our new building is accessible for wheel chairs and accomodates disabled
toilet facilities.
A covered decking area creates our ‘extended classroom’ and children have the choice of playing outside for the majority of the day. We also have a large ‘all weather surface’ play area with outdoor toys, a pirate ship, climbing frame and gazebo and a natural grass area which we are developing into a nature garden.
Where We Are
From the North (Canterbury):
Take the B2068 Nackington Road
Head South (direction for Hythe)
Follow the B2068, which becomes Stone Street.
The turning for Bossingham is about 5 miles on the right (Lime Kiln Lane), look out for the brown road sign for The Hop Pocket pub.
Follow Lime Kiln Lane right to the top, when you come into the village of Bossingham.
Bear right at the top of Lime Kiln Lane and continue through the village, following the road round a sharp right hand bend in the centre of the village.
Bossingham Pre-School is located on the left hand side, behind Stelling Minnis Primary School, just beyond the Village Hall.
There is a car park on the left just beyond the school.
From the South (Junc 11, M20)
Follow the B2068
The turning for Stelling Minnis is on the right about 8 miles from Junction 11 of the M20.
Turn right at this turning (Curtis Lane).
Continue along Curtis Lane until you come to a right hand turn as you enter the village.
Turn left (sign posted Village Shop and Rose & Crown Pub)
Follow the road round to the right.
At the T Junction, turn left along Bossingham Road.
Bossingham Pre-School is located about a mile further down Bossingham Road on the right hand side, behind Stelling Minnis Primary School.
There is a car park on the right, just before the school.
